Week 1: assess the target process or application against low-code suitability criteria — complexity, integration depth, scale, security, and build-vs-buy economics. Output: platform recommendation with justification, and a scope definition that prevents scope creep before it starts.
Week 1–2 (parallel): deploy environment strategy, CoE Toolkit baseline, DLP policies, and maker permissions before any application development begins. Governance retrofitted to existing apps costs 10× more than governance built from the start.
Week 2–5: iterative build in 1-week sprints with business stakeholder demos at each sprint end. Model-driven data architecture first, then UI, then automation — in that order. Business users test in the development environment from sprint 2 onwards.
Week 4–6: connect enterprise systems via Power Automate connectors or custom connectors, integrate AI Builder models for document processing, and configure Copilot Studio agents where required. Load testing before production sign-off.
